NATIONAL CADET CORPS

Don Bosco College started its NCC Unit (Army Wing) on 2019 after the approval of DGNCC, New Delhi, since its inception and formation NCC Unit of DBC has forwarded its helping hand for all college Functions, Pandemic (Op NCC Yogdan), Awareness Campaigns etc.

Don Bosco College NCC unit is having Sanctioned Strength of 104 Cadets SD/SW with two CTOs.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi, India. National Cadet Corps is a tri-services organization, comprising of the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over other candidates on the basis of achievements in the corps.

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young students. “Unity and Discipline” is the motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980. NCC remains the largest uniformed youth volunteer force in the world.

Eligibility Criteria for joining NCC:-

  1. He must be regular student with good attendance record.
  2. Physically and mentally fit to undergo Army Training.
  3. Willingness to undergo Training and attend Camps.
  4. Disciplined, Polite and smart Character.
